Flattering but odd cut around arms

The colour and style of this dress is very flattering however the cut under the arms is so high is uncomfortable. It’s also rather short and a 5’5 I’m not super tall. I bought it for teaching but now can’t wear for that. I would buy this again if that changed but otherwise it’s uncomfortable to wear.
