        Beautiful dress but too full overall

        This is a gorgeous dress (gilded leopard) and the top part of the dress and the sleeves are perfection. I sized down and, from the waist down, the dress was just too big and too swingy overall. If I had sized down further it would have been too tight in the chest. I really like the style of this dress and wish it had fit me better. For reference, I have an athletic build and am 5”5.

        This is a great dress, a little fuller than I typically like, but it has nice lines and is very flattering. I’m 5’2” and usually wear XS in Jude and a 2 in other brands. I bought this in an XS and it looks perfect on. If you’re on the fence, give it a try, I think you’ll be pleased!

        I love this style - now have two!

        I purchased the "first edition" Dolly dress when it came out this summer, in the Felicity Floral Navy French Blue and love it. This dress is cut a little narrower across the upper body for a less "flowy" fit and it really looks fab (I needed a small in this one - the XS was too snug across the chest - the other less fitted JC styles I have I generally need an extra small). I wore it to a conference and got so many compliments (JC are the best travel dresses ever - they don't wrinkle and look professional). Wasn't sure how I felt about the leopard print with the orange ruffle (I generally do NOT wear tan or brown), but it's really adorable on. FINAL SALE is always a risk, but I can tell you that the small in that print fits exactly the same as the other one I have. FYI, I'm 5'3, 125 lbs, slim but curvy (and slightly pear-shaped) build.

        I own many JC dresses, but this is my first purchase of the Dolly style. I love it! I love it so much that I immediately placed an order for the solid black version after wearing the print version once. It’s a forgiving style, with a fun nod to the 60s due to the print, and a perfect piece for different events that looks cute with boots, wedges or Mary Jane flats. When I originally saw it online, my size was sold out, but I got on the list to be notified when my size was back in stock. So easy! I almost always receive JC orders within two days of purchasing, and they arrive on a hanger, in plastic and are ready to wear. Thank you, Jude Connally, for taking up such a big portion of my closet!
